Every dog has a weakness.
For Horchata, it’s tortillas.
Not because she’s hungry.
Not because she needs them.
Simply because she firmly believes every tortilla belongs to her.
She’ll wait patiently, accept it politely, and somehow convince everyone around her that giving her another piece is a perfectly reasonable idea.
Horchata was one of five abandoned puppies we found together in 2025.
Since then, she’s grown into one of the biggest personalities in the family.
She’s adventurous, affectionate, endlessly curious, and always ready to join whatever is happening.
Road trip? She’s in.
Camping trip? Absolutely.
Snack distribution? First in line.
Despite her growing collection of nicknames and her slightly rounder figure, Horchata has never lost the playful spirit she had as a puppy.
If there’s an adventure nearby, she’ll find it.
If there’s food nearby, she’ll definitely find it.
And if there’s affection available, she’ll make sure none goes to waste.
The Horchata Experience
The Cutest Beginning
Even as a puppy, Horchata had a special talent.
She could make people fall in love with her almost immediately.
Tiny, fluffy, curious, and impossible not to pick up.
The puppy got bigger.
The effect never went away.
Ready For Anything
Some dogs like routine.
Horchata prefers options.
A trail, a road trip, a camping weekend, a new place to explore.
As long as something interesting is happening, she’s ready to be part of it.
Zero Suspicious Activity
If Horchata is looking innocent, there’s a reasonable chance she’s planning something.
Usually something fun.
Occasionally something chaotic.
Almost always something that seemed like a good idea at the time.
Built For Adventure
Strong, playful, loyal, affectionate, and always prepared for the next adventure.
Horchata may be a little rounder than her sisters, but she’d like the record to show that this is simply additional storage space for future snacks.
